jjwoodmaster
Hello, currently putting together an A14. What I find is the two water jacket holes (per cylinder) next to the push rods in the head gasket are not aligned with the holes in the block. The head gasket partially blocks these holes. Is it typical for the head gasket to not align to these holes? Thanks, John Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Don't take this the wrong way but is the gasket 180 and upside down? Quote Link to comment
jjwoodmaster
No it isn't. I have since learned from Peter Z the misalignment of the gasket to these holes is normal. Thanks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Probably to restrict flow. Quote Link to comment
jjwoodmaster
That was my thought which is why I asked in the first place Quote Link to comment
