LawrenceL
I'm a newby to this site, and really could used some help. I need a good flex plate for a '71 510 wagon with a Borg-Warner transmission, and have posted a wanted ad with no results. Rod's Datsun parts still has none, and this is all that's keeping a new motor from being installed and enjoyed. If anyone has a tip or a source to persue, any help would be appreciated very much. Thank you = ) 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Have you tried Rockauto? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If it's just the starter ring you can buy them separate and have it welded on. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
If you can not source one I have in the past carefully removed the starter ring gear and flipped it and welded it back on the center. 1 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The last [and only] time I bought a starter ring gear, [for my RL411 BYW] I found that the ring gear and flex plate assembly came pre-balanced and was far less expensive than the ring gear alone. No spot welding and then find a sober balance technician! Check your would be suppliers! RockAuto was the real source. 1 Quote Link to comment
