Draker
canam box, use the search to figure out the details. Use a cable out of the hard body. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Read the how to swap a ka in to anything. It has the diagrams showing which wires from ka harness need connected. Yours will differ slightly if you use the Hardbody harness. It will also be more difficult because the engine bay harness is built in to the body harness, not seperate like it is in the cars. 1 Quote Link to comment
nissan720
my 84 does not have an ecu.so if i get a can am box i would use it to manage the engine harness ?injectors o2,etc. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
You would use the canam box to provide fused power to the proper locations in the engine bay harness. You need to use the ecu that goes with your engine and wiring harness. 1 Quote Link to comment
nissan720
my truck is a 1984 i can not find the ecu. i have looked under both seats 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Your truck having an ecu is meaningless. You will not be using any original parts related to controlling the engine. Change engine, change engine controls. Your 84 ecu couldn't run a fuel injected engine even if you had it. It would only run a carb. Forget about what your truck has. Pay attention to what you need. You need the engine, the wiring, and the ecu from the HARDBODY. 1 Quote Link to comment
