Rims and tires for 521

Recommended Posts

Hey all. I just picked up another 521 this pass weekend. I've been without a datsun for almost 3 years. Anyhow I am looking at buying new wheels and tires and wanted to get everyone's advice if this setup will work.

I'm looking at Level 8 bronze wheels. They are a 16" x 8" wheel with 4.11 backspace. The tires are continental DWS. Hey are a 205/45/16.

I'm looking to see if anyone is running this configuration and if it will work.

Thanks

Is there an offset and wheel spec chart for fitting the 521 somewhere? I have a set of wheels 15x7 -15, and I'm also considering buying another set that is 15x7.5 -21, but I am not sure if I will be rubbing with the negative of an offset.

The inbound concerns start when running positive offset wheels or too fat of a tire.

Outbound issues occur with extremely negative offset wheels, or wheels that are just way too wide.

Those specs you list above should be fine.

Will I have any poke coming out of the wheel wells? What's the max specs the 521 wheel wells can have to keep a flush fitment?
