DatsWeird
Found this in a very old salvage yard going out of business. 78 280z with no rust (except front horns inside headlight area). No engine/trans but everything else is there. I took a gamble and went for it, even with the lovely aqua house paint on her. More pictures to come as I get all the sand out; pulled the fender and no rust/bondo in rockers or bottom fenders. Body gaps look solid, don't think it has ever been apart before or wrecked.. still had original gold metallic paint on fasteners and foam squares on inside fender. 93920 miles, title shows it to be exact, last registered 92. This is my first one, how'd I do? Thought it was a home run but have had mixed reviews, so off to the ratsun experts for final decision  Quote Link to comment

DatsWeird
Didn't think about that, prob a big deal in most states.. luckily I'm in the middle of nowhere, Arizona with no smog :w00t: Does have one of those CHP blue replacement vins riveted to the door jamb. Serial matches all the others on the car, and title is clean so ? Quote Link to comment

Bleach
With the price of an S30 these days, I think you got fair market value. In your state it is a lot easier to find stuff that is rust free. 1 Quote Link to comment

DatsWeird
So far so good on disassembly; Just light surface rust that comes off with a scrub pad. Front horns are crispy, but all the usual rust areas are solid. Overall, seems like I did alright even though I went to the yard for an engine and came back with literally everything but :geek: Time to take apart the zx and make one z out of two, build thread coming soon 2 Quote Link to comment
