autometer monster tach mount

I'd post this elsewhere, but since I can only confirm this fits on a 521 steering shaft, I'll just put this here. I picked up an autometer monster tach for cheap on CL and needed some way to attach it. It still needs a coat of filler and paint to make it look nicer, but 3d printed a bracket that seems to do the trick. If anyone wants the .stl files to make a copy, I'll get those posted somewhere.

It has a notch for the cables that run to the steering wheel, a couple of 1-1/2 10-24 socket cap screws with captive nuts to hold the two halves together, and a threaded hole for a couple of short 1/4-20 machine screws to hold the Autometer-supplied clamp ring in place.

The mini AutoMeter tachs have slots/tabs that have about the same reach as the bolt spacing you have there.

I'd really like to have a mount for the smaller tach. Like a nice mount-not a fucking hose clamp.

yeah, looks pretty much the same. The big tach had a similar metal mount as the smaller ones, with a piece of steel tube between the screw holes at the ends of the ring clamp where a bolt would go all the way through. I made the plastic just a bit shorter than the length of that bit of steel tube, to allow for a couple of washers to protect the plastic. If I knew the measurement of that bit of tube, it'd be easy enough to change the dimensions and make a version of the file that'd mount the smaller tach.

I was originally looking at putting a smaller tach on the truck, but this big one showed up so cheap that I couldn't resist. I did have it hanging under the dash below the radio by a couple of zip ties until I got this bracket figured out.
