VCV (Vacuum Control Valve) help.

Hi there Ratsun,

 

I'm in need of help with finding a VCV for my 720. Mine is broken and I'd need a new one or a used one that still works. Can anyone help me with links to buy one, or even one for me to buy if anyone has one laying around?

Not that. The VCV is not electrical just two vacuum lines. Under heavy load intake vacuum opens an air leak into the vacuum advance line to the distributor, retarding the timing slightly.

The other vaccuum switch next to it in the pic, 14955M, is a thermal switch so I didn't think that was it.

The numbers in the pic are just for look up by the parts guy, the links I posted are to the actual parts with the correct part numbers.  Both parts are for use on a Z24.

Top picture is the VCV. The full part number is Nissan # 22363-D1700 used on '85 and up California equipped emissions. If they have one about $80.

Courtesy Nissan has it listed only as a discontinued part, tends to make me think it'd be pure luck to find a NOS one.

Well a hail Mary.... Ask the Nissan dealer if they will memo all dealerships to check their inventory for one ordered but not used. They probably wouldn't mind getting it off the list.
