apachiestrike95
so my dad and i are converting a 78 620 from front disk to full disk and want to know what master cylinder will work to be able to use full disk. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well I would try the one on the '78 first. It's already slightly larger 13/16" that the earlier 11/16" full drum brake 620. I think it will be fine. Put it this way the brakes will still work just fine once bled. If the pedal travel is excessive a 3/4" will help. Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
The only issue would be the installed residual pressure valve for the rear brakes, which may not work anyway. Normally there's roughly 10 psi pressure held on the rear wheel cylinders to keep fluid in them, for better pedal feel and less travel. If it holds pressure on the discs, they may drag and your rotors will get hot. Its easy enough to check for after disc installation. Quote Link to comment
