Buzz510
Hi are these mounts to convert from L series to ka24 or from J series here in Australia our 521 were all j15 Just wondering if they would work cheers 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I have a 1966 USA 520 that had the J13 in it. I cut the J13 mounts of of the frame and welded in 1980 720 L motor mounts, then I install a 1980 chassis in my 66 520. I still have the 66 chassis I modded for the L motor so please put my name in the number generator Redeye. 2 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I don't know if they will work with the J-13 chassis. I have not seen one recently enough to make the comparison. And Charlie, you posted, you're name is in the hat. :) Quote Link to comment

datson4life
Ive had 3 different mount setups for ka in 521. Interested how these fit 2 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
No chicken trades... only give away  Ive had 3 different mount setups for ka in 521. Interested how these fit I basically positioned the motor relative to the stock KA mounts and the Stock L series mount position and then adjusted the height for clearance. The transmission mount sets the transmission as closed to centered between the floor and the crossmember as I could get it. Of course this is with the shorter 720/D21 5 speed. Still working on the longer 240 mount with a couple guys, as I didn't have one to modify (cut the casting stuff off). 1 Quote Link to comment

As long as everything clears and the oil pan sits flat/level, its good 1 Quote Link to comment

2wheel-lee
If only this were for 620 SR20 mounts, that timing would be good. Though I'm willing to pay for them when you have them ready! :) 1 Quote Link to comment

2wheel-lee
Still waiting to hear back from test fitting before I do a run of them. :) Sounds good! I probably have a few weeks until I change lanes back to that project. Right now I'm preparing to swap a 1.6 16Valve into my Samurai. Fortunately, a number of companies offer various mounts for that swap. 2 Quote Link to comment
