1968 original factory Blue on Blue interior

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any images of original 68 factory blue on blue interior (carpet, seats, and door panels). The reason I ask is because I'm having my interior redone and want to do keep it as close to original as possible, however my seats and are pretty beat up so its hard to tell what the original blue looked like and what the pattern was. From what I can tell mine have a starlike/petal like pattern pressed into the vynl running down the center of the seats front and back, but its hart to tell they are pretty torn up. Thanks for all your help!

Hey there, not sure about '68 models but my '71 wagon has blue on blue interior & the closest swatch color I could come across is "medium metallic blue". SMS FABRICS verified they could match/make this for me as I'm looking to do the same thing you are. The patterned part of the seat is called a "rosette" pattern & can be matched to same color as the solid vinyl. Here are some pics to see if it might be the same color. I snipped a piece of vinyl from under the seat where it was clean in order to find the most accurate match to send to SMS.

Hope this might be helpful for ya...

Angela do you happen to know the carpet color as well? Was it also blue or black?

Thanks again!

The carpet in my Wagon is original, I don't know any exact codes ore anything but it's basically just Navy Blue. You can see a bit of it here on the transmission tunnel hump.
