enbay1
Hey All, Hopefully a simple question. I found what I can only find to be a: Nissan Part No.: 1132510W01DAMPER ASSY-REAR ENGINE MOUNTING My issue arises when I found it not attached to my 85 720 KC 4x4 Manual. I cannot figure out where it bolts on. I've got the damper with that part number and a metal curvey bracket that holds it by one end. Any insight would be fantastic. Cheers! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It bolts to near the rear of the transmission. I think only 4x4s have them for the extreme engine engine torque while crawling. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
There's a thread on here about that somewhere.I think there's even pics of it that may help you figure out how to put it back together. Quote Link to comment
DrvnDrvr
Here's a pic of it. the curvy bracket to the left is a hanger for the exhaust pipe. Quote Link to comment

captain720
Do these shock things wear out and need replacing? Quote Link to comment
tdc
my 83 2wd came with one, i posted a picture and asked about it in my thread cos i've never seen something as silly as a shock on a transmission cross member before. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
2wd? Could be.The one I saw was on the other side. Quote Link to comment
tdc
yup, base model 2wd. this thread contains every one i've ever seen, and they're all on the back side of the passenger side of the transmission cross member. so weird Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Maybe it was upside down. (wrecking yard) Quote Link to comment
tdc
with trucks this old, who knows? the stock exhaust goes along the drive side on these trucks, tho, so the curvy bit has to be on the driver side from factory Quote Link to comment
