Datsun Meet Southern Oregon 5/13 updated

I honestly totally forgot about this. There was a car show fund raiser yesterday in Talent spend most of my day there and then went to pick my kids up from my parents. There were some datsuns there, got to meet Keith who owns the crewcab 521 he made and Stephen forgot the show was going on.

Nice place you got there farmer. Don't give up on putting the meets together. Sometimes it just takes a couple tries.

For some reason southern Oregon Datsun owners aren't very social creatures, I know they're there, I see a couple datsuns every week when driving South.....time to tag Rat & wrenches stickers on all dattos down there!

Eugene datsun owners must be on crack to think that. It's called either working or already doing other activities. The whole car scene here is all over the place. The main datsun guys I hang with are always out of town or busy working on there datsun.

No need to worry about us down here. That's why the Datslocos South didn't workout and just hung the coat on that myself. The problem is consistency, no matter how many times I put up the meets hardly any or no one would show and I been doing datsun meets for 5-7 years now. I'm practically the only southern oregon datsun guy who travels to the Datslocos Car Show in Manteca every year. That to me says enough.

 

We have our waves of people who all of a sudden are into datsuns then out of no where they sell them or disappear. When you start seeing a pattern like I have for the time I been doing this you just gotta call it quits. I just do my own datsuns shenanigans with the known datsun peeps that I know are consistent.

Hopefully it'll improve, there's only so much one man can do, and you've gone above and beyond what can be done to get people participating, brother!

Only time will tell not counting on it honestly I've lost but little hope I had left from former occasions that let up to me just stop making Datsun meets.  I go to local car meets but as we know those never go good only because everyone wants to be a show off or talk down on others. 

 

All I care for now is to finish my projects.

I was wondering how this meet went. If I had a drivable Datsun, I would have gone. I have also had a couple meets that at first people sounded like they were going to attend, then only myself,or myself & Al showed up for. Try not to let it get you down. Keep trying, sometimes it's whether related, sometimes people just have too many other things going around the same time. I think that as people start to realize you do this,they will start showing up more.
