Japrnoo
Hi. Couldn't find a topic for this, if there is please delete this one and link me original topic. I'm looking for clutch upgrade to work with about 120-140hp on my L16 when the rebuild is ready, on my project topic i earlier told that im going to get OS Giken clutch + flywheel setup but right now i dont see it wise if the roadster 2000 clutch kit cand do the same job. Rockauto is selling this Brute Power kit and it says that it fit 510 and roadster 2000, does someone know if this kit has the 650kg pressureplate? http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=334609&cc=1209967&jsn=397 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Says 200mm so it will fit. OEM is just another way of saying "same as original" Half way down page (Exedy) http://www.datsunparts.com/Clutch Kit Order by PART# 1483DAIKIN $169.00 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Roadster clutch is a common L16 upgrade. Its thicker pressure plate adds clamping force. 2 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Roadster clutch is a common L16 upgrade. Its thicker pressure plate adds clamping force. Pretty sure the Nissan Roadster is NLA and has been for years. This one http://http://www.datsunparts.com/Clutch <LOOKY HERE -NOS Daikin NSC - 581 NLA Heavy duty 600 kilogram Clutch Pressure plate NO longer in Production, but we have a few on hand! Yes we verified the clamping force/ load test. Exedy's design department dug out the blueprint and we have it. You wipe off the Dust. A great, less expensive, alternative to the Nissan kits with a great reputation. Comes with Japanese disc, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing & clutch dowels. Use for any 1600 or 2000. If it don't say NSC-581 it ain't heavy duty! 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
the Nissan one might still be avail. the last 3 numbers in the part# will be 111. the Daiken/Exedy is a good option also the 581 listed in the above link. However I sent parts thru Norway once and took like 2 months to get thru customs. 1 Quote Link to comment

Japrnoo
Thanks for all the replies. My friend is working at part store and was trying to find roadster clutch with that part number and everywhere at europe it was sold out. So my options are 1. Order it from us and pay lots of postage and customs or 2. find something else to put there. Is there any other clutch upgrades to 510 or is the roadster clutch the best and only one? DanielC
You mentioned a parts store. Since you are in Finland, i would take the part number for the roadster clutch, 30210-20111 (thanks DM) and call or ask at your local Nissan car dealer. Quote Link to comment

I sent email to rockauto and they told me that "All the info that you need is in our website" so that didnt help. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
My Local O riley store sold Roadster clutches a;so but really it was a weak 510 clutch as it had the same part number. Try locally in Nissan Findland . Norway Sweeden for the roadster part number. You might get lucky and they have one in a back room somewhere 1 Quote Link to comment

It's about the same as them faxing you a photocopied picture of their butt cheeks. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Personally I don't know why everyone loves rockauto.... they have had a couple things I couldnt get anywhere else, but I end up paying almost as much for shipping as I do the part.... never mind if it gets shipped from different warehouses.... If I can buy it some where else I do.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I am glad you said it. I freakin hate Rock Auto. Summit Racing has just about anything you need (though their search engine sucks so you may really have to get creative with the search), their no hassle return policy is great, and they don't use shipping as a profit generator like Rock Auto. Actually, they ship free over $100. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Its been the elephant in the room on these posts for to long.. and ya creativity is the key to searching for the parts in general, I never trust the first place I look. Once i find a part number I cross check the hell out of it.... Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
there used to be Mr Auto-parts.com they sold all the Jap made stuff then they went defunct/ I loved them. I do get from Rockauto and partsgeek. partstrain has stuff also. key is get from same ware house if possible. I don't like all the chain autoparts stores anymore. NAPA has went down in my opion also. Buddy at work got brakes from NAPA and they warped said they wouldn't take them back. Said after the fact oh you need to turn them. WTF. I figure they can turn them and put them back in the box before they sell them(china made Drums) 1 Quote Link to comment
