TX620
whats up all! New member here, but i plan to soon be a regular. I just got what I believe is the greatest gift ever and that is my grandpa's 1976 620! This truck is what started my obsession with cars, motors and things like that. It has a huge sentimental value to me so I want to do some justice while fixing it up. I have tons of plans for her just like everyone else on here I'm sure. Will post pictures soon! 4 Quote Link to comment

TX620
Well, here are a couple quick pics I will get her cleaned up and get some nice pics soon. One plan is to get her back to original Kelly green color. Draker
Welcome! Looks pretty good. Could go lower.. but get it running driving and stopping first. Then move on to making it a fun driver. 2 Quote Link to comment
TX620
Thanks guys. Yeah for sure need to tune the engine in there first and get her running good. She actually runs right now but not fine tuned. I'm still on the fence of just tuning the L20B or doing a swap. I know that is a big discussion. For now just need to get her cleaned up. One thing at a time. For sure it will be lowered at some point! Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
Looks pretty good, I personally would not lower it, then it's just like everyone else's truck. But I'm an old guy so I prefer a better smoother ride. I would keep the L-20 also 1 Quote Link to comment
difrangia
Nice looking 'Bulletside'. Get her/him starting, running, riding, and driving good and dependable. Get to know the little pickup. I've gotten our 78 'Longbed' up to that point and absolutely love the driving experience. Just keep in mind; 'That's Grandpa there'. Just me but, I'd not change anything so drastically that it couldn't readily be put back like he had it; allowing for a bit of personalization. Steve 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Welcome. Grandpas truck looks to be well taken care of. Quote Link to comment
mcordero8
Nice truck! I love hearing stories like yous. Do your Grandpa proud whatever you decide to do to the truck. Is the color black, or like a midnight blue? Quote Link to comment
willz
Pull floor mats and have a peek around the truck for any impending doom (rust) on the rocker panels, back of the cab, the bed will probably have some as well. Since it was "grandpas truck" I'd say keep it as factory as possible. You don't see a whole lot of nice stock 620's. It would definitely be something different Quote Link to comment
difrangia
These 620's are a blast for driving & working if ya don't overload em. I put our 78 'Longbed' to work today haulin a IBC container over to the daughter's house. Gardenin season is coming on. I'm second owner on this baby-doll. Bought new by a good friend of my dad whose nickname was 'Frog', mostly because he looked like a frog. Frog croaked passed away 20-25 years ago and his widow used it around the yard till about 6 years ago. Came home from work about four years ago and it was kicked to the curb with a 'For Sale' sign in the window. Followed me home later that day. Take good care of 'Grandpa' Quote Link to comment
TX620
Nice truck! I love hearing stories like yous. Do your Grandpa proud whatever you decide to do to the truck. Is the color black, or like a midnight blue? It's actually a forest green color, but underneath is the original Kelly green color. The goal is to get it back to original color which is one of my favorite colors. I'm still debating a SR20DET swap, but I think I'll just getter her runing smooth and drive her around like that for a while. Quote Link to comment
