Depends on the off-set of the wheel, and how much it's lowered.

Not knowing the off-set will get you into a whole lot of trouble.

I've been running 15x7 -15 off-set, and a 225x60 tire. now going to a 16x8 -0, with 225x40 tire.

Both set-ups come out as far towards the sheet metal, and required a small amount (1/4") of fender roll.

My truck had 2" lowering blocks in the rear, and about 2.5" cranked out of the front.

Truer words were never spoken. Offset is everything on any vehicle that is lowered.... or otherwise. More positive offset on the rears than the fronts will make them appear to be wider. A slightly narrower tire on the front exaggerates the rear width to look even wider. Too much positive offset and it can't be lowered or there is risk of the body hitting the tires on suspension travel. Positive offset rims also throw more dirt on the body but they do widen the stance.
