tail gate handles

has anybody paid attention to tail gate handles on the trucks, i was checking mine and it seems that there was 2 left handles installed on my 521 trucks tailgate, my seafoam green 71 looks factory installed

They are the same...there is only one part.  Or do you mean you have two handles on the left side? :rofl:

I have two RH tail lights on my dime.....Soon to be RH/LH since I ordered the new set, I'm sure it goes unnoticed more often than we realize it, I know I didn't til last year when I was looking at it closely.....Had my dime since 05 :lol:

No if you look at the rivets on the center of the handles, there is a flat on 1 side and a raised spot on the other side

So are you saying you have a set that both the flat or round side of the rivet is facing the same direction?

 

On my truck it just looks like both handles were produced with the rivet going the same direction if looking at them in that same orientation but left to right the rivet is going opposite direction because the handles are flipped with respect to each other.
