L20B intake, L18 carb, can it work???

so i purchased a new carb for my 78 620 on ebay, i jumped the gun and got the wrong one. i have 2 issues, 1: clearance for throttle, 2: mounting is not possible with exhaust air tube. If i find a solution to both problems, my question is, can i use an extra spacer and go with this carb or am i going down a long dead end road?  Having very hard time finding the right carb.

What carb did you buy because all L series 4 cylinder carbs should at least fit fit.

 

Do you still have the original carb?.
