Bunch of work done this weekend.....

Had a friend finish up my roof during the week, he's a body shop guy and needed a windshield, so we helped each other out, basically all this roof needs now is primer, that will get done this week...

I cleaned up the rust and sprayed rust treatment on my passenger side fender, wasn't nearly as bad as the driver side...

Applied duraglas...

While that cures for couple days I started on the floor panels, the most severely damaged by rust was the passenger side...

Few holes revealed after running a wire brush to it, so I decided to use fiberglass sheets on it, I coated the floor panel with POR15 and layer the fiberglass sheets on top then applied a wet coat of POR15...

Then I proceeded with the rest of the floor, no more rust damage was revealed...

More work done this past weekend...

Sanded down the duraglas, applied filler and sanded down to blend in with the body line of the passenger side fender, just needs glaze putty and a final sand before primer...

Finished the interior side of welding filling, nice and smooth straight across now, ready for primer...

Started the process of filling and blocking the exterior side of the cab to accomplish a smooth straight line across...

IMG_20170527_161517.jpg

Worked it from the middle and outward to the sides in order to get an even line...

Lots of filling and blocking, piles of dust on the floor, but successfully sculpturing the body line...

Halfway there now...

IMG_20170530_171828.jpg

While the filler dried for sanding, I tackled other parts needing blocking...

Smooth and even now...

Man I wish I could come hang with you guys on the weekend. Only problem is I'm doing the same shit all day, 15 miles north. I'll make it over in a few weeks. Next two weekends I'm booked.

Did more work on DatLo yesterday and today, cleaned up the engine bay and inside the wheel wells for paint and undercoating, lots of time went into prep so I was only able to paint the engine bay today, tomorrow I'll do the rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells, back of fenders and under side of the bed.

Here's pics of the engine bay using a textured paint I'm experimenting with...

Can't wait to see it tomorrow after it cured for 12+ hours, I really like the finish where it stands, let's see how it looks after its cured.

Oh ya, my phone is with me at all times documenting my progress by snapping oics, got the motor freshened up yesterday, the timing chain and guides are new, got a 2wd pan on there, new water pump, gaskets and just needs the new flywheel + clutch installed, attach the tranny and drop it in the chassis, got a full 12 hours on her yesterday alone....lots of work this past weekend for sure!

Just switch over to imjur and keep updating :)

Thank you Steve, I'll look into that ;)
