KoHeartsGPA
Bunch of work done this weekend..... Had a friend finish up my roof during the week, he's a body shop guy and needed a windshield, so we helped each other out, basically all this roof needs now is primer, that will get done this week... I cleaned up the rust and sprayed rust treatment on my passenger side fender, wasn't nearly as bad as the driver side... Used a metal mesh as a base for the duraglas... Applied duraglas... While that cures for couple days I started on the floor panels, the most severely damaged by rust was the passenger side... Few holes revealed after running a wire brush to it, so I decided to use fiberglass sheets on it, I coated the floor panel with POR15 and layer the fiberglass sheets on top then applied a wet coat of POR15... Then I proceeded with the rest of the floor, no more rust damage was revealed... Very minimal surface rust that was brushed and cleaned up... Finished application of POR15... Turned out nicely... Can't wait for next weekend so I can get more work done!! 2 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
More work done this past weekend... Sanded down the duraglas, applied filler and sanded down to blend in with the body line of the passenger side fender, just needs glaze putty and a final sand before primer... Finished the interior side of welding filling, nice and smooth straight across now, ready for primer... Started the process of filling and blocking the exterior side of the cab to accomplish a smooth straight line across... Worked it from the middle and outward to the sides in order to get an even line... Lots of filling and blocking, piles of dust on the floor, but successfully sculpturing the body line... Halfway there now... While the filler dried for sanding, I tackled other parts needing blocking... Smooth and even now... Also picked up a donor to use the chassis off of, has a bad transmission, but I already have a KA and tranny... Can't wait for next weekend! 4 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Several more hours of work today, not many pictures since most of the day was spent making filler dust..... Getting close to finishing up the back of the cab now... Don't have after pics, finished the passenger side fender too, needs glaze putty for the pin holes. While filler was drying, I tackled the rusted out of hope battery tray and surrounding victim... Started cutting away the damaged area... Off it came... Nice clean hole now... Sprayed rust treatment around the area to eliminate some surface rust... Next weekend I'll be wrapping up the body work on the cab and start doing some work on the bed... I do have a wheel preview... Can't wait to finish this thing! 3 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Did more work on DatLo yesterday and today, cleaned up the engine bay and inside the wheel wells for paint and undercoating, lots of time went into prep so I was only able to paint the engine bay today, tomorrow I'll do the rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells, back of fenders and under side of the bed. Here's pics of the engine bay using a textured paint I'm experimenting with... After... Can't wait to see it tomorrow after it cured for 12+ hours, I really like the finish where it stands, let's see how it looks after its cured. 2 Quote Link to comment

Just switch over to imjur and keep updating :) Thank you Steve, I'll look into that ;) 2 Quote Link to comment
