KoHeartsGPA
More mudding happened yesterday.... Can't wait to finish the roof, ugh! Patched couple holes with duraglas and finished off with bondo... The front of the roof is at about 90% at achieving the correct line, once that has happened I can follow it to the back of the cab with a thin coat covering the rest of the low spots that were created by the welding of the roof, lots of work but she's taking shape now. 4 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Are your arms burning still? (From all that sanding) Lil bit.,.. But can't blame it on sanding, niece birthday yesterday and few hours of picking up my two nephews, throwing them on my shoulders and running from my niece that was trying to save them  2 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Been working on her last few weeks, just haven't posted pics.... Catching up now.. Body filler on the tacks I made in and out the cab.... Last of the body filler on the roof, next step will be glaze putty... Today I fixed a bad rust spot on my driver side fender, cleaned it up..... Cut out another piece of metal to fit behind the damaged area.... Tack welded it in place, did some filling with the welder, grinded it down to make it flush to the body line... Mixed some duraglas for body filling.... Added extra hardener so it would take effect quicker so I can sand it down sooner and within 30 minutes it was ready for sanding, turned out good.... Monday I don't have to go to work so I'll be working on her again applying glaze putty  2 Quote Link to comment
Draker
That cleaned up nicely! 2 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Thanks!, Ya I wasn't sure if I could save it, worst case scenario was cutting out the part and weld another that wasn't damaged, but seems as most fenders that old have the same rust damage, some worse than others, passenger side fender looks ok though, just surface rust  1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Owners need to hose the dirt out from back there. Otherwise rust! 3 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Ya, I'm going to do what I did with my dime, spray that rubberized bed liner inside the fenders and under the body & Bed of the truck. 2 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
More work done on DatLo... Removed the rocker panel that was rusted out of hope and cleaned up the area for the new piece.... Sprayed rust treatment... Let it dry then ran the wheel brush and sprayed rust treatment again... Also applied more body filler to back side of the cab over the tac welds.... 3 Quote Link to comment
