Air cleaner bracket

Does anyone have a photo of the air cleaner bracket (Item 21 at https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/pickup-1965-1972/engine-1300-(j13)/air-cleaner#PhotoSwipe1485828074783) installed on their 520?

That's the bracket.  It would be nice to see it in a larger, better defined photo!!!

Find a copy of this this brochure & U got it.

 

Someone on here probably has one that they can scan for you.

 

Check on Ebay.

 

You could use the brochure to go with your little gem of a pickup.

I am thinking this is an E1 but it has a heater hose in the outlet, does yours look like this, 2 holes on the top, 2 holes on the bottom?

It is an E1, Wayno. 

 

Dead give-away is the motor mount and pressure plate. Older column shift pressure plate.

 

Also single outlet tube exhaust manifold and two-stud mount mount rocker cover.

 

The support strut on the side of the air cleaner housing closest to the photographer and the front of the engine oar exactly like my original ones on the 1964 E1.

 

Heater hose looks to be connected into a fitting in the upper part of the lower radiator hose ??

 

Later fuel pump without the primer ring.

 

I've seen this engine on Ratsun before. It's the one with the gold painted or yellow zinc plated fan.

The transmission in that brochure throws me for a loop. Looks like a column shift transmission for maybe a right hand drive vehicle ??

 

Probably a file photo from the period used to showcase their New! 1300cc engine.

It appears to be a RHD column shift transmission, why they would put that photo in the brochure is baffling, as the interior photo shows a floor shift.\

There is only one access plate on the column shift transmission, left hand drive has the shift arms in the access plate, RHD has two shift lever arm holes in the lower right side of the transmission, they are in your LHD column shift transmissions with domed type plugs in the access holes.

Here are a couple photos of the RHD shift lever access points with the plugs in them.

 

This is the best photo I could get of my RHD transmission shift levers right now, it's really tight in there.

Wayno, That explains a lot about how Nissan dealt with the LHD/RHD issue with regards to the column shift tranys. 

 

The engine/trany photo in the brochure was most likely from a RHD/column-shift application of some sort. Possibly a late 410-early 411 sedan; 1300 engine with RHD column-shift trany??

 

Now as always the people who the manufacturers target with the brochures are not the persnickerty gear-head nut people like us who will pick it apart and needle a floor salesman with minute items like this on a new vehicle.

 

You probably don't want to go with me and the wife when we buy a 'new' car. I'm always under the hood and usually underneath (laying on the floor or lot tarmac). Wifey has gotten to where it doesn't embarrass her any more; knows it won't do any good.

I purchased from a Japanese seller the rear air cleaner bracket

One side of the bracket has both light blue and dark blue paint.  Is it probable that as the engine went down the production line the bracket was installed and partially painted to match the dark blue engine block, which masking the lighter blue of the air cleaner?

 

It would be great if someone on the forum could check their bracket for a similar paint scheme.
