paradime
Sydney is kick ass squared. Cost big bikkies though, but seriously insane food, Bondi Beach, The Rocks, Botanical Garden, Opera House, rain forest near by, and any fairy around the harbor. Go during the off season and you'll avoid the usual herds of derro day trippers. 3 Quote Link to comment

Ratwagon1600
What touristy stuff is a must see/do down under? Australia has been appealing but ibhave no idea what to do once there. Been waffling between a few places to go on a trip. Ideally the less terrorists the better so Europe is looking less appealing every day. Bad RW, big day so im moderately affected by that over strength Straylian beer. When im more coherent dude, ill post some personal reccomendations. 1 Quote Link to comment

Draker
Sydney Harbour is good,Ayers Rock (in Northern Territory),Melbourne,Tasmania also have a lot of tourist shit to do. Queensland has Cairns way up North and if you got some decent coin, the Whitsunday Islands are nice as well as the Great Barrier Reef. Port Douglas is a sweet spot but again you need good coin to stay there. Time will tell if where I end up going. This has always been appealing to me though. Fucking flight of doom though... so long. 1 Quote Link to comment

Been waffling between a few places to go on a trip. Ideally the less terrorists the better so Europe is looking less appealing every day. Generally, the East Coast is the place to be. VTR will hate me for this, but, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, meh............. Sydney: Climb the bridge, take a couple of Ferry rides, Taronga park zoo, visit the Blue Mountains, catch an NRL game, Kings Cross, visit the beaches (Bondi and Palm Beach are must do's), spend a day walking around the rocks (where the first inhabitants settled), Sydney tower, Hyde Park, the Powerhouse museum, and the Australian Maritime museum are also must do's. Canberra: RW's home town. Drink piss (Aussie slang for our very strong beer) and get properly fucked up with RW at an Aussie pub, Parliament House, National museum of Australia, national portrait gallery, drink more piss with RW, visit the Snowy Mountains, eat in one of the gazillion restaurants we have here, if your here in the first week of January a visit to Summernats is a must do, drink more piss with RW, take a day trip to the coast and see some more amazing beaches, drink more piss with RW...... Melbourne: See an AFL game and marvel at the Mexicans love of any sport, eat at one of the brilliant restauarnts on Lygon street, Queen victoria market, Melbourne museum, old Melbourne Goal, travel to the great ocean road (a must do), wander the city streets, drive a couple of hours North and visit Ballarat which is the home of the Eureka Stockade (a very important place in Straylian history) and a great goldfields historical town etc. There is seriously so much to do here, just depends on your interests and what time of year you visit. 4 Quote Link to comment

VFR800
I hope no one here minds me saying this and I am not seeking any attention but given people here talk about aspects of their lives I have some personal bad news.My Father passed away thursday evening. He'd been diagnosed with lung cancer and it had gone into his ribs last friday. He'd been in hospital for biopsies and released Thursday afternoon. Unsure until autopsy exact cause but six days after diagnosis is fastest gap between I've ever heard of. Dad was never a smoker as he'd been a chronic asthmatic from birth. It feels like it's SO quick and my mind is a bit struggling to grasp the # of days between the beginning to the end.Sorry in advance if it's not the right place to mention it Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I am so sorry. There are no words that can help, but I will try. My dad passed away several years ago, he was a mechanic by trade. Even in his old age, he would work on stuff. He had an old Ford 8N tractor, that needed work, he was always tinkering with it. When he passed, I was drawn to working on his tractor, in his garage, with his tools. Slowly it struck me, these are mine. I had decent 1970's Sears Craftsman tools. He had Snap-on. I used the tractor again just yesterday to move some dirt. 4 Quote Link to comment
