MantisX620
Hi all. When checking mechanical advance with a timing light, which direction should the timing mark move when the engine rpm is increased? Thanks MantisX Quote Link to comment

MantisX620
So the mark should move to the left of the crank pulley or to the right? I ask because couldnt away from TDC mark be either left or right? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Left or right of the pulley would be front or rear. Look at the pulley from the front like a clock dial. Engine turns clockwise. Advance would turn opposite this or counter clockwise. To the left viewed from the front 1 Quote Link to comment
