datzenmike
KA24E or KA24DE? 240sx have floating pins, the trucks are pressed in.. Early S13 KA24E were slightly domed. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
That is about.76mm. Try looking for them in mm. O'Reilly Auto lists a part number for d21 kae pistons in 0.5mm and 1.0mm oversize. Try rock auto. Look up Clegg machine website. They sell rebuild kits at good prices including the option to oversize Quote Link to comment
Rocky671
thank u guys.i want to put ka24 pistons into a z24 that i am currently rebuilding.what is best ka24e or ka24de??? Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
You would definitely need to use d21 pistons unless you wanted to make further modifications. What goal are you trying to achieve? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
KA24DE piston won't fit. KA24E do have the same pin height and your compression would be 9.52 with a stock piston and 9.67 with a 1mm oversize piston. Be sure to check the width of the Z24 rod small end inside the KA piston. There has to be enough room for the piston to center itself over the rod bearing. I'm saying you may need to machine the Z24 rod small end slightly narrower. I'll find one of my old KA and Z24 rods and measure them tomorrow.. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
KA24E rod small end width 240sx S13.................... 0.985" these have the full floating pins D-21 Hardbody............. 0.865" these use regular press in pins. The Z24 you'll have to measure yourself. It's important that the rod/pin be able to slide side to side in the piston. Quote Link to comment
