afracer
Anybody got a line on where to get new synchros or a full rebuild kit for a 63a dogleg box? Not seeing anything out there myself... Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You rebuilding as a precaution or do you have an issue with your dogleg? Quote Link to comment

afracer
I just bought a 63a in unknown condition and after so many years I'm sure it could probably use a freshen up either way. Cobra had it in stock with too cheap to be true pricing, its almost already here! Has anyone rebuilt one on their own? How hard is it? Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Great info Mike! Obviously you don't need the puller for the rear bearing. A few gentle blows with a hammer and the bearing will walk it's way off the shaft. And a dead blow hammer will get the shafts out of the center plate bearings. Check the thrust washers for wear and if there is any wear present, replace them or at least be sure to put them back on the way they came out, or the gears will bind when tightened back up.
