zed1
The 520 uses a single 1157 bulb for both the front running light and the front turn signal. The 1157 bulb is dual filament 25 watt and 8 watt. Which wattage is used for running light? Thanks, Keith 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
The running light is likely the 8 watt, the 25 watt would likely be brighter, more watts = brighter, at least that is how I think it works, turn signal needs to be brighter than the running light. I just plug them both in and turn the running lights and turn signal on, if I cannot see it noticeably blink brighter, then I reverse the wires. 1 Quote Link to comment
zed1
Wayno, One of the wires is green w/yellow stripe. I wanted to wire the socket correctly so that switching the plug wile will be consistent with the wire schematic. Keith 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Yea, I don't know which side in the socket the wire goes, but let us try it this way. The wire on the upper left/left in the photo is the green/yellow line wire, note wide tab on top. 1 Quote Link to comment

XXL
My '68 520 is green and green/red up front (I didn't bother checking the rears, but ASSume it is the same as there would be no logic in changing colors for the same functionality). Green = running lights (8w) Green/red = turn indicator (25w) 1 Quote Link to comment
