I thought it would be fun to collect the Tonkas that I had when I was a kid. These two are the beginning of my collection. I just picked them up on Ebay. I still have my original Tow Truck from the 70s, but it is in bad condition (missing everything).

'Tonka Trucks' is how I reference all new full-size pickups.

Still have one or two Tonka's from when I was a kid.. rusted to shit. But meh.

 

The new ones are total shit.. plastic garbage.

I have that same tow truck but in all white.....And it's in much worse shape.

I've got the big bulldozer,had it since i was 6 or 7.My grandson got some Tonka stuff for Christmas,mostly plastic.

Had a Red Z car when i was a kid ,, always thought i left it under the irrigation pump house at my dads ,, but i looked for it this last harvest,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it's not.

 

I do have a  ton of hulks laying in a pile here somewhere from when the boys were young,,, pretty much beat to piss though.


So somehow while i was driving back from Eaglerock swap meet i somehow caused YOU to post this,,,, do really think members on this site are that stupid to believe i caused it??

Yeah I saw a white one as well as a blue one on Ebay. I may add those to my collection too...

That thing is Awesome! I Love those wrap around rear fenders and all of the attention to detail. He's right, they "hit a homerun" on that truck! Thanks for posting it.
