abbylind
Finished the last wheel cylinder and threw new brake shoes on the rear. Tossed the tires back on and drove it around the block...needs adjustment...forgot to adjust the parking brake...OK slide by the mailbox and take her home. BUMPA BUMPA BUMPA...left rear tire and rim comes off...OH OH! Luckily I was 200 yards from my shop and the tire stayed in contact with the brake drum. Found 3 lug nuts (besides me) on the road. Ran and grabbed my floor jack popped the tire back on with three lug nuts and limped home.... Found the other 3 lug nuts on the roadside TORQUED EVERYTHING! Made note to self... 2 Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
Did something similar, left my "key" for locking lugs on the last wheel I torqued and took off down the road, was unable to find it. Luckily I had the code number for the key and was able to order another one 1 Quote Link to comment
