fs5w71b vs fs5w71c reverse gear

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer yet,

 

Just how interchangeable are the parts in FS5W71B and FS5W71C transmissions?

 

specifically, would I get away with replacing the three reverse gears from a C into a B?

 

Finding the gears for a B has been almost impossible, but C parts seem to be cheap and plentiful.

The early 240sx and D21 Hardbody reverse counter gear will fit 07 '84 and up 720s

Other like revers idles appear to come in different numbers of teeth???

It appears to me that both models of transmission have the same number of teeth.

There visually similar to the ones on my FS5W71B, have the same number of teeth. According the research i've done they even have the same gear ratio.

 

What i'm not sure of is if they have the same dimensions.

So it seems both these transmissions use the same reverse gears.

I don't think it exists anymore. I sent in orders, fallowed with phone calls, emails. I was very desperate in the worst winter in our state history to get my truck running again.

 

After weeks of complete silence I was able to get a refund (thank goodness for pay-pal)

 

These cobra guys got me the parts in three days, they really saved my bacon last winter.

 

Plus every other website that has these parts are five times the cost.
