abbylind
Im replacing my rear brakes and brake cylinders (leaking) I replaced the rear shoes a few years ago. When I pulled off the drums the upper return springs were broken on both sides. One was snapped in half on the coil the other the hook on the end was broken off. I had to use a bolt on the drums to remove them. It looked like they had a little corrosion on the center hub. The bolt popped them loose. Any idea what caused the springs to break? How can I avoid this in the future? TIA Quote Link to comment
