ecar510
I want to do an engine swap on my 68 Datsun 510 and was curious if it would be better to buy a salvage/wrecked 240sx and use its motor and tranny or buy a SR20de motor and tranny outright? Also a follow up question how much of the 240sx could I repurpose (e.g. breaks, suspension, etc)? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There are no SR20DET engines in the 240sx or any other N American car unless it was imported and swapped in. Better to get an import engine, transmission and the wiring. If you have never done radical suspension swapping and fabrication skip it. You can up grade the 510 and make a pretty good handling car with bolt on stuff. Quote Link to comment
