AlexDeLarge
Any of you guys have a picture of the base gasket between carb and intake? I got a kit at Autozone and want to make sure I got the right gasket in there before I bust it open. GP Sorensen kit 96-275. Thanks Quote Link to comment
DanielC
There are two gaskets, and a plastic insulator to prevent manifold heat from getting to the carb. Quote Link to comment
AlexDeLarge
I dont think all that came in the kit I got. Where can I get those pieces? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You reuse the phenolic spacer. If you don't have the gasket you can make one easy enough using that spacer for a template. All you need is gasket material (Cheerios box will do for most, I have one for the oil pump) scissors, pen, hole punch. Quote Link to comment
AlexDeLarge
Ok thanks Mike, the kit does have 1 base gasket included. So I will need to make another one or does it just use the one? It will have to be this weekend before I can take the carb out and look. Everything I look at online is not showing the damn base gasket or spacer in the diagrams. Quote Link to comment
