Need some 720 help

Australian 720... those had L series engines, right? L18? What carb? 32/36 Weber?

 

Since it's the head than make the power how about a 'larger' cam? Holds valves open longer and farther.

 

Best bang for the buck is a better set of rear gears for the differential. You probably have a 4.375 so 4.625? This will allow the engine to be revved slightly higher at the same speed. Acceleration is improved.

thanks lot ill look into it, do you have any idea a place i can pic up cosmetic stuff, kits treys ect also

35 year old vehicle? Wrecking (scrap) yards? Always keep eyes open when traveling around. People park them on side streets and back yards, fields on farms. Often something wrong and to cheap to fix it. Watch craigslist adds for the word Datsun Dotson Datsen Dotsun any combinations of miss spellings. Or Nissan. 

 

With luck you might get what we call a parts truck. It's a non runner but has all the parts that are missing, plus lots of spare ones too. And cheaper than buying them separately.
