Because someone there is Proud to be an American and is why my flag waves all year no matter.

Damn straight

Just looked odd to me (my inner Boyscout was cringing), I was always taught to respect the flag and not fly it during inclement weather. I guess if it is all-weather nylon or something resistant then 'Murica! On.

Local news is predicting 3.5" of rain here in the next 48 hours.

Yeah, freezing rain. And my damn bus still isn't running the route. Next closest stop is about 1.5 miles down the hill. Tomorrow is going to suck.

~.25" freezing rain in Portland I heard. Eugene is going to get hammered with normal rain.

Snowed a week ago Fri/Sat and Sun. Shoveled 3" each of the days and not much you could do at work Mon and Tues or yesterday. Snow fell without disturbance and sat so long it clumped on everything. Even Tuesday the snow was on all wires and tree branches. You never see this. Last night about a foot came down shoveled it this morning and now wet snow/rain. That's enough for 1 1/2 winters and last year we got ZERO snow not even a flake.

Stayed home today, no plough and I'm on a bus route so no bus, and.... the power went out.
