Recommendations on 432 rear spoiler

My front and rear spoiler from MSA were delivered. I ordered the 432 rear and I'm not happy with it. I am calling and returning it on Monday. One of the bolts has been tightened up so much it has busted through the top. And the edges aren't smooth at all. It would really require a lot of sanding and finish to be used. I didn't realize that they were this rough when you bought one. Even if the finish was better I still need to return it due to the busted spot.

I'm not sure if they get these from Classic Datsun or not. Does anyone know if the MSA 432 rear spoiler is the same as the Classic Datsun and Whitehead Performance model?

Can anyone recommend which or any 432 style rear spoiler they feel is the nicest or best made? I want to leave it black and do not want to commit to drilling holes in my hatch unless it's a nice spoiler.

I'm unfamiliar with this spoiler. The ones I have gotten before for RX-7's are Gel Coat or much cleaner looking. The front one I got from MSA is fiberglass and primed on the outside and it looks good. It will have to be painted but it has much cleaner and smoother lines. Is this as good as they get? I'd appreciate recommendations and experiences of others please.

I also posted this on Classic Z car.

Thanks for reading.

I've bought a few things from them and they all needed a good bit of clean up work. But they were cheap so it never bothered me much.

Not an MSA product, but a similar item, I bought this R34 GT Spoiler through CarID.com, and this is how it arrived:

I think it just speaks to the quality of the aftermarket suppliers at this time. They throw out a sub-par product, but because it's priced cheaply, we buy it and make it work...

Wow, that's rougher than mine. I'm going to make a return. I haven't decided if I'll replace it or just forget the idea of adding the spoiler. I love the way the 432 looks but it's not worth putting holes in my hatch for. Especially when it is going to cost me more money on top of the $189 I paid it to make it look decent.

And as bad as I want one I just hate drilling holes in my car, hahaha. I thought about that before I ordered it. But figured I'd have it if and when I decided to put it on the car.

I'll post more after I call MSA about it.

Thanks for the input guys. It's much appreciated.

MSA wanted to see photos of the bolt poking through. I sent them so they could review it.

They said they finish is like that. You have to finish them yourself. I told them they should mention that on the site in the description.

They were very nice and easy to deal with and have send me a return shipping label and are giving me a refund.

I still would eventually like to have a nice 432 style spoiler for my car someday. If anyone runs across anything like that please let me know. Or at least one that doesn't require a lot of finishing work, sanding and putty to make it usable.
