tdskip
This is my first build with this modern of a system so please be gently with the ensuing dope slaps... Well, I've got air but not so much spark or fuel on the SR20DE swap. Power to the system is not resulting in the ECU sending power to the fuel pump relay and I am not getting spark either. Connections appear to be all correct and using a new harness from Wiring Specialists and power appears to be flowing to the right places in terms of powering everything up. I know a OBD connector is the next step, tracking down an adapter since the one on it is funky. Maybe track down a known to be good ECU and see if that works? Thanks - and best wishes for our Veterans. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Might be worth having all these separate topics in a build thread. Then all the info is in one place and can be looked up. Are you using Jeff's plug and play Can Am box... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/537-how-to-wire-a-ka-ca-sr-and-vg-into-anything/ Quote Link to comment
tdskip
Thanks Mike, not using a Can/AM box. Using this one; http://www.wiringspecialties.com/universal-sr20de-wiring-harness/ That said, ECU wiring and principles should all be the same. I can move into a build thread, sorry I didn't do that up front but I was also hoping to make it easier for others to find the questions since I can't be that unique in the swap challenges. Lockleaf
Regardless of using the can/am, that diagram tells you exactly which ecu wires need power when. Can you confirm that each of those wires is properly receiving power when you turn on the car? One hopes that wouldn't be an issue with a nice harness like that, but since it's not working, I would start there. Quote Link to comment
Invader
When I replaced my standard Ecu for a power FC , I had similar problems It ended up being that when I connected the plug to the Ecu with the central bolt the ends didn't get pulled down properly all I had to do was push both ends down by hand and it worked fine Quote Link to comment
