You don't mention by how much "it lowers itself"...Mine drops a little too, 1/8th of an inch, maybe...You're working with an almost 40 year old regulator: That's a lot of up and down action, so some play is to be expected...Mike is right: Knowledge is power! Pull the door panel and investigate. Start by loosening the 3 10MM bolts that hold the window to the track, reposition the window and retighten the bolts. If that doesn't solve the issue...Pull the regulator and check its condition. If yours Is bad, I may have an extra one...I'll have to check. As for your window dropping, and shattering: Highly unlikely.

The window channel felts really only aid in element intrusion and anti-rattle of the window within its travel. If you hit a bump and your window goes down: your issue lies in the regulator...As Mike said earlier, pull that panel and see what's going on in there. When it rolls itself down are you able to roll it back up, or does the crank just spin freely? If it spins, your gear may be stripped...It sounds like you will be needing a regulator.

Not following... it falls down or rolls down by itself?

Replace the side window channel felts

It shouldn't fall down even without any felt. The spring is broken or somehow disconnected...

Ahhh damn sorry guys I reply at a bad moment... I don't go back and read what I typed ....

It rolls itself down, when ever I drive .... it can't roll up lol there's no way it could ...
