Bought this car in april and I love it just don't get to drive much till it breaks again. So, antifreeze on the floorboard..leaky watercock...replaced. Had the waterpump, fanclutch belt and coil replaced in may. Have replaced numerous hoses, the pcv valve, fuel filter, oil n filter, plugs, wires and on n on. When i turn on the defroster it squeals like mad. Is it belt tension?

The heater squeals? Probably the fan inside rubbing something.

Is it only on defrost? What about just heat?

The engine fan belt squeals? The additional load on the alternator can cause the belt to slip if it's loose or worn out. Check the belt tension.... after all the clutch fan was replaced and the belt may need tightening.

You still haven't said if the noise in in the heater or out in the engine bay.

Heat and defrost shouldn't turn the air conditioner compressor on. As I said the alternator belt also drives the clutch fan, check the belt tension.

If the noise is in the heater, the fan is rubbing something.
