Datsun/Nissan finatic
When disassembling my 620 lots of bolts snapped or nuts stripped and now I don't know where to find hardware kinda at a stand still until I figure this out. Any advice? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
They are all metric so find a hardware store that carries them or a fastener store like Fastenall Quote Link to comment
kelowg
Autozone sells metric nut/bolt assortment kits. Osh is another good metric source. Quote Link to comment
510T
Junkyards are another good source for metric hardware. 1 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
http://www.mcmaster.com/# They more options than any hardware store can stock if you don't have a good store locally. They may not be the cheapest on some, but more prices for nuts/bolts aren't bad. They only charge what the shipping costs, so you won't know the cost of shipping until after they've sent the order. I've never thought that the shipping was more than it should be....usually it's less. Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Just be careful to match bolt grade when buying metrics. 1 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Just be careful to match bolt grade when buying metrics. Great point. 8.8 metric is equivalent to grade 5. 10.9 = grade 8 12.9 isn't typically used much on vehicles.......that I'm aware of. Quote Link to comment
docbainey
ACE Hardware typically has a great selection, including stainless. 1 Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
I like stainless (mostly supplied by McMaster). No more frozen thread, or rusty heads :) Quote Link to comment
