195/50/15s? I thought about going with a lower sidewall it didn't want to throw off the final drive ratios but so much. Looks good, now you just need to lower a bit more (aesthetically, the gap between the tire & fender should be half the sidewall height).

if I were to lower it to that gap, I'm afraid my fender will hit over any bump. My suspension is pretty soft

Hey, can you tell me more about the Carpet Kit? How bad was the fit? Is there any obvious areas that it did not cover? Thanks.

Surprisingly it fit pretty good. From door to door I cut off maybe a inch and a half or so. From the fire wall to the seat bracket on the floor I had to trim a few inches off. From the seat bracket on the floor to the wall of the cab, I used head liner for the carpet. Everything is covered and no parts of the floor are showing.

Be careful of what center bearing you buy.

Got one from Rock Auto that didn't have a sealed bearing, just a shielded bearing.

Shielded bearings will not keep water out !

Sent that crap back, and found one with real seals.

When you look at the bearing, if you can't see any rubber seal, just metal, it's shielded bearing.

I also had to put 1" spacers under the bearing to help straiten the shaft out, as I had a pretty serious angle at the center bearing universal.

Rule of thumb when lowering a Datsun truck is for every inch of drop ad 1/4" spacer under the carrier bearing support.

1" drop  = 1/4" spacer

2" drop = 1/2" spacer

3" drop = 3/4" spacer

4" drop = 1" spacer

A factor that can change the amount of spacing used is outside tire diameter.

If your driveline has too little angle after lowering it can cause the u joints to bind and at 50 miles per hour something has to give usually resulting in a badly twisted and thrown drive line which may or may not  bust the tail shaft of your tranny.  Throwing a driveline on a freeway can be very dangerous.

When ever doing a mod to a vehicle always research the pros and the cons of similar mods to get as much information as you can.

Are you referring to thr problem I had with the transmission or just from lowering it?
