TDCTDI
Seen basically new 620 tailgates go for ~$150. But then I'd have to go about trying to do a faux-tina to get it to somewhat match the rest of the truck. I may have found one already though. 1 Quote Link to comment

TDCTDI
I like it, but not quite my thing. I just spent 5 hrs rebuilding & adjusting that convoluted hunk of pot metal on top of the intake manifold & got her to fire up & run. After topping off fluids I'm not sure which is pissing coolant faster, the water pump or the radiator. Hateful bitch. 2 Quote Link to comment
TDCTDI
Anyone else see the pissed off tin tiki on the front of that Datsun? DAMMIT! It won't let me use that pic for my avatar. Hot damn, I figured it out! 3 Quote Link to comment
Leche
Ok, so here's some crazy shit for you guys, by NC DMV law, vehicles 35 years & older do not require an inspection to be registered, on top of that, I can put whatever license plate I can find that matches the date of manufacture of the vehicle on it as long as I carry the registered tag in the vehicle. So I found a crusty old tag to put Man you guys are lucky, it's a royal pain in the ass to get stuff registered here in California. Good job on getting her running, at least a water pump and radiator are e a sy to change. Quote Link to comment
TDCTDI
Well.... it has begun. I had to start painting it because everyone wants to touch it & while I've been extra careful not touch the body, antifreeze & oil have already managed to sling onto the surface. I shot the hood with some two part clear, I'm gonna need a lot more. Quote Link to comment
TDCTDI
While I was looking into lowering the front I discovered why the starter wasn't working with the ignition switch (probably why she was parked so long ago). All of the wires to the transmission were disconnected (yes, she's got an autotragic) & the stick that was the culprit was still stuck in the frame. Can you say "field car"? I reconnected the bullet connections & she fired right up. Quote Link to comment
TDCTDI
I'm kinda digging the half a skull effect that turned up in that shot. Quote Link to comment

TDCTDI
Well, not quite Ratsun style low but it's already on the bumpstops, I guess I'll have to lose those. Where would one source one of the antenna mounts? 1 Quote Link to comment
TDCTDI
& would these be original sealed beams?!? If so, some stock-nazi somewhere would love to get them I'm sure. 1 Quote Link to comment

You can just buy a whole new antenna on ebay for cheapish? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-610-710-720-King-Cab-Manual-Antenna-PM45D-/310738666890?hash=item485977c58a:m:mX88TGucaFVr-J7M41a_cXw&vxp=mtr 1 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Looks like he's missing the middle tie down spot so should probably make sure there's one on the ebay listing. Iirc the antenna I installed over the summer that came from eBay came with that mount thingie as well. 1 Quote Link to comment

TDCTDI
I cleaned & shot both sides of the cab & front fenders just to seal it, I can't wait to get more to make this thing look wet. 1 Quote Link to comment

TDCTDI
dgi has graciously offered to help out on the tailgate, I've found a tailgate on Clist but he suggested that I make sure that it wasn't for a 520/521, anyone know what differences to look out for? Here's a pic of it, unfortunately there aren't a lot of options on this coast. 2 Quote Link to comment
