Hey guys got a quick one here, Ive found multiple posts on bigger tires for 4x4s but none for 2wds. i got handed a set of 235/75/15 rims and tires, for free, and i was just wondering if id have issues putting these on my 2wd? if so is there a smaller size with 15 inch rims you'd recommend? i kinda wanna go as big as i can with the 15s. thanks for your input.

Just to try and help with samey samey measurements and some overall reference...

235/75-15 = 28.88" Overall Diameter (Most Import 4wd trucks of this era came with 225/75-15 as stock)

275/40-17 = 25.66" O.D.

245/40-17 = 24.72" O.D.

195/75-14 = 25.52" O.D. (Stock on most 720 2wd's)

205/75-14 = 26.11" O.D. (Optional on some 720 2wd's)

195/60-15 = 24.21" O.D. (What I have on a 720 2wd with 3" drop right now)

29" is what came on the 4x4 so I doubt 2wd will work well unless lifted. If your differential is 3.889 those tires will drop the overall ratio to 3.4.  That's 12% out on speedometer... You think you're going 60 but really you are going 68. Yeah the cops will like that. This is terrible for performance and will make the truck very sluggish in town.

Bigger? you mean wider with 15"??? Stock 14s are 7.6" wide and 25.5" tall

230/60R15 are 9" wide but same height as the stock 14" tires. No change but wider.

255/50R15 are 10 " wide same height. No change in performance and speedometer but wider
