KamakSun
Hey all, Car is running well and the clutch engagement is perfect. Thanks to Les over in Vista, I got my oil pressure gauge working and the readings are good! I thought now would be a great time to address all the gauges and wiring issues. I got the tach working for a few minutes after running a new wire to the negative post on the coil and then a fuse blew. I replaced the fuse but the vdo gauges' back lights are not working as well as the ignition warning light on the dash. I'm going to post this topic in electrical. I have very limited experience with wiring, let alone trouble shooting it. I do have a budget meter I bought a while ago from Home Depot, but no clue on how to use it. Any references to a single site (so I don't get confused) such as the idiots guide to auto electrical diagnostics would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again, Kamaksun Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Are these stock gauges and wiring? Quote Link to comment
KamakSun
They are aftermarket VDO gauges. The ignition light is stock. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
For the gauges follow the maker's instructions. A 510 wiring diagram should complete what you need. Quote Link to comment
