Charlie69
I bought new module one time and was not happy. I get old ones out of the junk yards whenever I find them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kennyt
As info and i forgot to mention i started with a new gear box and power steering pump. The new pump whined with the new gear box. Replaced the pump again and did not whine til it got hot. Put new seals in old pump. Took longer to whine but still did after it got hot. The only thing new not changed is the pressure hose. No restrictions noted in the new hose. Wonder if the new hose could be bad? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
How did you bleed the system when you installed the new pump and gear box? Quote Link to comment
Kennyt
Pulled a vacuum at the bleeder on the gear box. Then jacked it up and went from stop to stop several times. Also put an inline filter on return side to see if any debris in system. Very small particles of old hose was caught in filter. Just put a new belt on it too to eliminate the belt. Same issue. Whines whenit gets hot. Sounds like a ford ranger. Lol Quote Link to comment
Kennyt
The ignition module in the distributor fixed the firing issue. Thanks to all. Still fighting the power steering issue. Gonna replce the gear box pressure hose and pump tomorrow. Stayed tuned 1 Quote Link to comment
