240 SX has a longer transmission.  I ran into this a couple decades ago.  Not sure if the engine mounts are the same as the truck KA24.

The motor mounts are the same between the 240 and the truck on the block.

Whenever I think that I'm out of my mind for putting this much time and money into an old Datsun, all I have to do is look some of your threads to know that I'm not nearly as whack as you are.

You're going to skin a few knuckles, stand up too fast and bump your head, hunt around the floor for the nuts and bolts you dropped, invent a few new cuss words and when you're finished you'll say "That wasn't so hard after all!"

The 240SX trans requires floor modifications and the truck I was test fitting with has not had a final drive train selected.

If someone was to use my motor mounts and run the 240sx trans I could use some measurements. :)

If you happen to send some my way I'll see about getting some measurements.

And see how different they may be then mine.

The only Dick that made my mouth water. Thank you sir.

Well. When I went to his place, I'd Usually end up getting more than one...

So. No Canby for me.

But maybe if you gave them to Dmike he could bring them to flatcats and I could pick them up there.

I'd send them back if I didn't wanna keep them of course.

I'll ask him if he'd do something like that first.

Having these mounts in hand...

They are sexy. Well built.

Comparing your vs. a Wayno dogleg mount, very close in sizing. I'd bet drilling 2 more holes and it would fit perfectly.

You can't hang if your nuts haven't dropped...it's physics

Thanks :)

I have a mount sold that is being fit for that exact purpose. The holes will likely end up slotted to allow use in either configuration.

I can only assume that his already works so it is hard to take it apart again.

It looks like these work for the longer transmission as well with just and additional set of holes. I am going to drill the couple I have left for the longer trans.

I will have to get some pictures uploaded.

I like your earlier idea to slot the holes for the trans mount.  This would be great for us people that cannot read a tape measure or work with fractions.

Remember the mens bathrooms all across the USA had rubber (condom) vending machines hanging on the walls.  You new you were in a desolete town when the rubber vending machine only had the one size fits all!  B)

Your trans mount will be like the one size fits all rubber machines!

Got some pics of the new transmission mount and KA521 motor mounts. The transmission mount works with both the KA and SR swaps as well as L-series 5-speed swaps including the dogleg.
