combination switch

Yaw.. Was wonderin if anyone knew of any place that sells combination switches for an '80-'85... 720 used or otherwise cheaper than the $100+... Ones im finding.. Mines gettn powdery.. Not sure i can get this one rigged... Still tryn though

It works fine too... Just got called out on the fact that it no longer returns on its own for pa inspection... Shit returns fine when i tap it with my finger as i turn back the wheel... But still need that sticker...

Turn signal!!! Took me a while.

 

They're expensive because the headlights and wiper switches are also included. Not sure if the turn signal switch is exactly the same for all years... maybe.

 

Take the steering wheel off and have a look inside where the guts are. Best bet is to find one on a junked truck and swap the guts into yours. There were different assemblies for nearly every year and model, even the tilt steering ones were different. But the turn signal part may be the same.

You need the one for your year, early ones are very different than later ones, completely different plugs and different number of wires.

Also the tilt and non-tilt are different, different column size.

Yeah just ordered one i found for ninety bucks.. .. Was able to get it workin close enough last year.. But shit was crumbling pretty bad then even.... Now its so bad that when i touch it powder falls.. Just bit the bullet and ordered it... Rather than run into the same issue next year if i did somehow manage to rig it again

 I have purchased the higher end combination switches from Rock Auto and used them to rebuild my original switch in the past.
