620owner
Dropped the rear step bumper on my 620, I think it looks much better. I picked up a license plate holder from a hardbody that has two license plates lights. I'm going to mount it where the 620 plate hold is and I think it will look good. I'm also thinking about finding two small chrome bumper to go under the rear tail lights. I found some on eBay but a little pricey and from Thailand.... still looking. I was also thinking about maybe fabricating two small pieces of bar stock and having them chromed. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You mean removed it and threw it away? Yeah saves 70 pounds and the looks. Quote Link to comment
620owner
Yep, scrap pile. Sure does change the appearance of the rear end. Totally different look. Nice ! Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Sell me the frame brackets please ! Had an 'ugly' bumper on my 521. Was tail ended by a dodge ram. The impact spun me around, and I was border line unconscious for a few seconds. When my head cleared, I thought 'shit, this is the end of my Datsun'. Looked in the rear view, expecting the box to be rolled up to the rear window. But it looked OK..... Got out, looked at the dodge ram that was peeing coolant, with a split bumper, grill, and severly caved in hood. My 'ugly' bumper took most of the impact, and was folded over sideways, with only minor damage to the corner of the box, and even less to the tail gate. I drove mine home, the pos dodge was halled away. 1 Quote Link to comment
