crafty1 Posted August 19, 2016 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 the turning mechanism seems to be "slipping" while rolling the window up. which it won't roll up without extra assistance. Feels as though its "stripping" anybody know if I can tighten it up or do I need to replace something inside? anybody know? thx 1 Quote Link to comment
DanielC Posted August 19, 2016 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 You might have to replace the window regulator, and some other parts. It is also possible that cleaning and lubricating the moving parts of the window regulator can make it move better. The bad news, the window regulator is among the last part you remove from the door. But while you are in there, you can re glue the inner brace that helps support the door skin (sheet metal). Go to this page. Down load the 521 body and chassis service manual.
