russaroll
My uncle, who lives across the street, just bought a newer wrangler. He says he is going to sell the fj40 and his gf is thinking she might sell her 620. I've always liked that truck and this could be my opportunity to buy it. It's basically stock but has some overheating issues. DO you think $1000 would be a good offer? The want is greater than the need. I just want to get it back on the road. Quote Link to comment

racerx
why is it overheating? and will it pass smog in CA? Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Definitely buy it! An FJ40 for $1000 is a steal, even with the overheating issue! 2 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
why is it overheating? and will it pass smog in CA? The seller is required to provide a current smog certificate. No pass, no sale! One of the California buyer protections that most buyers don't know about! No certificate? It's a parts car. Quote Link to comment

Rhapakatui
A grand seems fair. First thing you're gonna want to do is change out that grill. Those older ones crack easy and that one has all of the obnoxious looking trim rings. I've got a newer style one that I'd trade straight across. I'll pay shipping since you're a ratsuner. 1 Quote Link to comment
