Great posts.

Carpet: stockinteriors.com has a blue identical to my original carpet (1978), might be the same as yours.  It's color code 812 (in plush pile style).  You can have them send you little square samples of the actual carpet to make sure it matches.  The 812 color on the website color photo doesn't do it justice.  I got an 812 sample and it is exactly the same color as my original carpet color under the seats (non sun-faded areas).

Turn Signals for the non-US bumper: I have a set of new aftermarket lights that I have yet to use.  Message me if you are interested and I can ship them out to you for a few bucks less than I got them on eBay.

Good vibes on your ride.

Still trying to get the proper angle on bracket right. I can't remember who messaged me a pic of their custom brackets- Either Sierra or Enrique Elias- but they simply cut the US brackets past the bumper bolt/pin section up front, tacked on a pipe section that acted like a sleeve over the existing pipe, and then angled up a 1/4 piece of steel plate to that sleeve. I wish I could find his picture then I'd share it. The problem i'm having is making sure my angle and measurements are spot on before I weld. First cut was too sharp of an angle, second- too shallow. Also, where I have sleeve positioned plays out is how close/far the bumper sits.

I have yet to cut into the original 'pipe' that sits on the bumper stay just yet. but playing around with the metal bits I've experimented with has revealed a few mistakes.

Its a fine art.

So, after not being satisfied with original idea- mentioned above. I thought about making a bracket that incorporates the original bumper stay. When I first got the car the driver's side bumper bracket was pushed in, so I worked it back out. After speaking with my father an idea popped up that may work- and which I will probably mock up later tonight or tomorrow.

Here's a quick/sloppy sketch of the left side- or passenger side. Driver side would be a mirror image.

The "c-clamp" mentioned above would be like the original mount that is on the bumper as seen below- only with a slight angle incorporated.

Which would then easily bolt onto the original bumper mount as shown below

Idea would be to tap in or adjust the depth of the original bumper mounts in an inch or so- and then with the idea from the 1st picture- match a pattern that fits the curve of the bumper and uses the bolt holes. I plan on this being slightly easier to put on and remove if ever I needed. I know several other custom bracket styles have been mentioned to me- but we'll see how this plays out.

I do like how you did these brackets, I've fabricated one similar to these only I wasn't satisfied with the angle I had, so now I want to experiment to see if I can keep the original bracket intact and just adjust up from the bump stop. With that being said, I thoroughly,( as well as others in the forum) do appreciate the pictures Sierra!

Wow- its been awhile. I've had a lovely time trying to re-upload pictures using Photobucket now- instead of facebook. It seams like facebook's photos don't last on here? or is it that if your forum is idle too long it looses pictures? I dunno.

Life update- I got married in New Zealand, on a mountain top overlooking Wanaka. Spent almost a full month touring the best that New Zealand had to offer.

And might I add- they love their old Japanese cars. I'm mentioning this little part as I've been trying to catch up with my projects now that I am back stateside- balancing work, marriage, and Datsun's all together.

I was able to score some OEM bumper brackets for the b210 from someone overseas- paid something like $75.00 for them all- so all previous mention of fabrication work was fixed by just bolting these on.

took some shots last night of the bumpers mounted- front bumper needs only minor adjusting at mounting bolt to tidy up the gap but I'm loving them. Rear bumper mounting was done by simply drilling two new holes for bracket bolt to fit into the trunk compartment.

Also took off carb, intake, and header assembly to figure out a new airleak- come to find out my gaskets were fairly brittle and old (which wasn't news to me). Cleaning is top of the list, but I do have the carb rebuilt. Ordered a complete gasket kit for my engine as well because I'm sure that in the future I'll end up using them. The only Issue I've had was trying to find a new spacer that fits between carb and intake. The old gasket refused to come off, and upon cleaning I've identified numerous cracks in the plastic. So now I'm trying to source the right spacer.

Simply cleaned the valve cover- may try to paint match it as best I can before placing it back on.

Those bumpers look amazing.

Facebook randomizes their photo links, basically they change the link every so often so they don't become a photo hosting site for the rest of the internet.

Thanks for posting up your build. I needed this. I had my 75 b210 sedan for almost a year now and it's' down. I wish mine was a manual instead of an auto. But I got a good deal for it and not much rust and looks like it's been recently painted. Probably have a lot of questions for you. It's hard to find parts for these cars. Just like you said will have to source it from other countries, I am too looking for those smaller front & rear bumper (If you could shoot me to the right direction where I can find these goodies, I would really appreciate it, man). Just wondering, did you do the 280zx front strut swap yet?

Sourcing the bumpers for me was easy as I bought them local here from a ratsun member. I believe he ordered some from overseas but I can't be sure. His name is Ed Sierra- and I know he's on the b210 forum. As for the spring swap- I'm actually looking at an option from King Springs in Australia. They have drop springs that should fit the front struts without difficulty- and price was something like $134 for the set.

Parts are tough at times in the Midwest- I do know of a craigslist ad from Mitchell, South Dakota of a guy parting his b210 out.

Always willing to help where i can.

Side note: I got my carb adapter today- so I'll be messing with rebolting everything together this weekend.

I'm never against a clean swap! Do it up if it's your ambition- make your build yours! I'm sticking to OEM at the moment on mine- I want to see if I can get that advertised 38-41mpg. But who knows- someday at least one of my datsuns' will have a swap.

Datsunfreak- haven't looked into a 510 swap for fronts. I'd imagine they'd be similar, or easy to swap.

Well, they're the right diameter. That's step 1.   ^_^

It's surprising how similar the 510 and B210 front suspensions are. The majority of the parts are interchangeable. Which is also a really easy way to swap engines in a B210.

In regards to your glove box door, you can get a thin copper hinge and mount it.  That is what I did on my B210.

I would take photos but I have an old 3G phone.  I think I got the hinge Ace, or a hobbyist store.  It is essentially like what you would put on a cabinet door but full length.

Yeah, I'll probably go the hinge route you mentioned. Found a few glove box doors at a salvage yard, they all are broken in the same place. Guess these Midwest winters are hard on old plastic when bent over and over in past years.

I might have one let me check my spare parts stash.
