Marsh510
Hey guys, just finished my ka swap, took it out for a spin last week, was fine, MAN, do I love the power this motor brings compared to my old L-series. Yesterday i start it, and it wants to die out on me. Accelerating on the street, it bogs around 1 to 2k rpm, then it starts to pull. It does that for all the gears. Was thinking it might be the MAF or plug. Was reading other forums, could be a bad fuel pump or injector. Will have time tommorrow to check the whole car. Just thought id get someones opinion on pinpointing the problem. I don't have a FPR yet. Havent been able to weld in a bung for my o2 sensor either, will be doing that this week. 1 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I'd check the MAF. If it were a bad fuel pump, you would get less response with the higher demand for fuel(higher RPMs). Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Check the easy stuff first people are way to quick to blame the sensors. vacuum leaks kink in the FPR hose etc. Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
It's a brand new swap? How many miles so far? If not more than a couple, go back and check your work. Things like the fuel system. A "new" fuel system often clogs up after initial startup from debris in the tank. Months of fabricating, grinding, sanding, etc, create a trememdous amount of dust. If it's got more than a few miles on it since the swap, try doing a hard reset on the computer and then drive it again. After the battery has been disconnected, OBD systems can take 50 miles or more to "reset", so keep this in mind too. If a hard reset lessens the problem, then start looking for incomplete wiring or a bad component. Quote Link to comment
